Product FAQ

Will my dog's hair grow back where the hot spot is?

It is very possible to grow the hair back from the spots where hair was lost after using Veterinary Formula Clinical Care Hot Spot & Itch Relief Spray. However, sometimes lesions can be severe enough to damage hair follicles and affect hair growth.

Can this be used near the mouth? My dog's been scratching his whisker area and under his jaw.

To apply Veterinary Formula Clinical Care Hot Spot & Itch Relief Spray to the area under the mouth we recommend spraying a small cloth or cotton ball with it and then applying to the area. This way no spray accidentally gets spritzed into the pet’s mouth or nose.

What does lactic acid do in treating hotspots?

Lactic Acid is an ingredient commonly used in topical treatments that helps remove dead skin cells from the surface layer of the skin and encourages new skin growth. Additionally, consistent application of lactic acid on the skin has proven to create firmer, thicker, and smoother skin. Why is it in Veterinary Formula Clinical Care Hot Spot & Itch Relief Spray? Lactic acid speeds up cellular turnover and improves skin to help with hot spots.

Can this spray be used to treat ringworm?

Veterinary Formula Clinical Care Hot Spot & Itch Relief Spray does not support the relief of ringworm.

Is this spray alcohol free?

Veterinary Formula Clinical Care Hot Spot & Itch Relief Spray does not contain alcohol.
